Journey to the Relational Promised Land was originally a two-day conference, however, it has now been modified to a one-day seminar. The seminar is designed to help couples understand and learn new ways of dealing with conflict in relationships. The material presented is applicable to any relationship, but specifically targets romantic relationships.

Journey to the Relational Promised Land uses the Bible’s exodus story as its underlying theme. Just as the Israelites were led from bondage in Egypt to a new life in the Promised Land, Journey to the Relational Promised Land leads couples from the land of conflict to the land of meeting each-other’s relational needs.

Our Couple’s Seminar meets from 9am-3pm. Cost is $75 per couple and includes lunch and all materials. For more info about the next seminar please Contact Us.

The Journey To The Relational Promised Land relational seminar consists of four sessions:

Session One (Into Egypt): The Anatomy of Relationships and Arguments
How are relationships supposed to work? What does a healthy romantic relationship look like? How does our family of origin and our past experience in relationships influence the way we handle conflict?

Session Two (Life in Bondage): Our Patterns of Relating to One Another
Disagreements are inevitable, but how do simple disagreements accelerate into full blown arguments? Why is it so difficult to get out of an argument once you get into it?

Session Three (Exodus into the Wilderness): Learning a New Dance
How do you break free of old ways of dealing with conflict? How do you move from arguing to understanding? How can you make it easier for your partner to listen to you? How can you receive criticism without becoming defensive?

Session Four (Living in the Promised Land): Meeting Each-Others Relational Needs
How do you create an environment where your partner feels safe and comfortable being honest? How do you know what your partner really need from you? How can you “coach” your partner to be all that you need?

The atmosphere of the seminar is that of a “date night” rather than a lecture. There will be opportunities for personal interaction, open communication (just between the two of you), some fun couple’s exercises, some laughter, and even some sweet treats.
